Alice Raggatt BSc MSc
Qualified Nutritionist
I decided to become a Nutritionist after I gained a 2.1 in Sport and Exercise Science (BSc) from Staffordshire University in 2002. I loved all types of sports and found the aspect of nutrition within sport especially interesting. Many of my friends went into jobs that didn't use their degrees and I knew that of everything I had done in education, nutrition was what I found fascinating. Also I actually wanted to use my degree in my future career path! Having taken a year out to visit family abroad I went to Glasgow University, and in 2004 graduated with Merit with an MSc in Human Nutrition specialising in Public Health. I chose Public Health as my specialisation as it is a growing area and also to broaden my knowledge in nutrition.
I got involved with [GetFit Nutrition] in late 2004 because I believe in what they are trying to achieve. Like many I have had my own weight battles in the past but through my knowledge and determination I fought them and won and am now healthy and happy. I did it the healthy way by eating well and exercising just as [GetFit Nutrition] believe. The most important thing to remember is that changing your lifestyle doesn’t mean you give up having a life – just a healthier one!!!
I hope you enjoy working with [GetFit Nutrition] as much as I do and good luck!
